God I hope nobody i know finds me on Tumblr

Do you remember when Facebook wasn’t full of every dickwad you’d ever met? 

Do you remember when people didn’t know what Twitter did?

Do you remember how exciting it was to be in a place with no pre-determined cliques; no pre-judgement based on your past or rumours or friends you hung out with? 

When it was genuinely exciting to meet and interact with people from the otherside of the world because they were genuinely excited back?

WTF happened to that?!

Oh wait. Media. Media happened to that 

Now it’s impossible to keep my online life separate from my real one. I can’t tweet nearly as much offensive stuff as i like because I might get sacked. I have to put up with people who work FOR ME posting on my timeline how much they hate being at work (how am i supposed to ignore that when it comes to evaluating their long term prospects?!). I can’t upload every photo ever to Google+ because i don’t have time to ensure i’ve got the right privacy levels on.

BUT.

There is hope for me yet.

TUMBLR! NOBODY I KNOWS USES IT! HAHA! I LAUGH IN THEIR GENERAL DIRECTION AND WAVE MY SMELLY BUTTOCKS AT THEIR FACES! YOU CANNOT FIND ME HERE!

So while i’m at work thinking about dinosaurs but talking about Reverse Repo Settlements, i will also be dreaming about posting on here more often.
